# Danish mortgage rates – Danmarks Nationalbank figures

## Rates right now
The rate on your mortgage is set by the bond market. Short rates (F-kort, F1) mainly follow Danmarks Nationalbank and the European Central Bank, while the fixed rate is also affected by expectations about inflation and the economy.

The table shows Danmarks Nationalbank's averages for new loans to homeowners. They are historical averages – not an offer and not a forecast. To see how the institutions themselves assess rates, follow their rate outlooks below.

- Average for new loans in the month – not an offer to you.
- The figures are published monthly with a lag of about one month.
- Some series are missing in some months; we show the latest month with data for each series.
- Danmarks Nationalbank states that new lending from refinancing is assigned to periods differently across mortgage institutions.
- Danmarks Nationalbank states that APR figures from April 2025 are not reliable; we do not use them.
